Pricing Information

I offer four pricing levels for coaching: an actual price, a subsidized price, a solidarity price, and a by-donation price. Below are guidelines to help you choose the level that is right for you, but keep in mind that only you know your financial situation and choosing a pricing level is ultimately your decision. Though I know that many people using fixed income and/or public benefits to pay their expenses feel that they have virtually no disposable income, I do not offer free or pro-bono coaching because paying for coaching significantly increases buy-in, which makes coaching a more satisfying experience for both me and my clients.

This price is based on my assessment of the market-rate value of my time, taking into consideration my skills, experience, and credentials. Consider paying the actual price if any worries you have about money are generalized and not based on actual and repeated struggles to maintain a middle-class lifestyle. If your budgeted expenses, including any debt payments you have willingly acquired, are generally and comfortably covered by your income or financial assets, this might be the right level for you. If you have a moderate amount of money saved that you can spend to pay for coaching, please consider paying the actual price. If you never or rarely stress about spending money, consider paying the solidarity price (see below).

Coaching

Actual Price

Subsidized Price

Consider paying the subsidized price if you regularly struggle to cover your expenses while trying to maintain a middle-class lifestyle. If you must go into debt to pay for coaching, rather than being able to pay for it out of savings, this might be the right level for you. If you are working class and can figure out a way to pay the subsidized price, please consider doing so, as the subsidized price is a much closer reflection of my market worth than my by-donation pricing. If the subsidized price feels way out of the question for you, consider paying by donation (see below).

Solidarity Price

If you comfortably maintain a managerial or owning class lifestyle, please consider paying the solidarity price. By paying the solidarity price, you support my ability to offer subsidized and by-donation pricing. The solidarity price might be for you if you have little or no debt, your variable bills (credit cards, utilities) are on auto-pay, and you have inherited family wealth and/or know that you can rely on gifts or loans from living family members when needed.

By-Donation Price

If you are poor or working poor and must rely on public benefits to meet your basic needs for housing, food, transportation, childcare, and/or healthcare, I would love to work with you by donation. The minimum per-session donation I accept is $20, and the maximum is up to you. I am happy to work with you to determine a number of sessions that will meet your needs, anywhere from 1 - 12 to start, reassessing toward the end of a 12-session commitment if you would like to keep working with me. Donations for coaching only cover my time spent with you in sessions, and do not cover wrap-around supports such as unlimited email, assessments, and logging/diary support.

Consulting

My consulting rate ranges from $85 - $200 per hour, and I will bid on contracts with the starting rate of my choosing based on my assessment of the client’s size and available resources. My opening rate is negotiable in most cases and I am willing to work with clients to find the appropriate rate and level of support for each consulting contract. If additional consulting partners or subcontractors are brought onto my team, I am not accountable for the impact of their hourly rates on the rate I propose in any bid.

If you think individuals in your organization could also use the support of a coach, I offer individual coaching sessions to employees and project partners of my organizational consulting clients at a discounted rate of $70 per session.
